J.P. Linde’s love of storytelling began unexpectedly in the sixth grade, when he convinced his male classmates that Elizabeth Montgomery — yes, the star of Bewitched — was his girlfriend. From that moment on, he’s been spinning stories people actually believe.
He’s performed in summer-stock productions of Our Town, Hot L Baltimore, and The Misanthrope — and, to everyone’s relief, managed to avoid appearing nude in Hair. One of the founding members of Portland, Oregon’s comedy scene, J.P. created the sketch and improv group No Prisoners and later took the stage with his one-person show, Casually Insane. He went on to perform stand-up professionally, making his national television debut on Showtime’s Comedy Club Network.
His original musical, Wild Space A Go Go, premiered in Portland at The Embers in 2011. Since then, he’s written five novels, including his latest, The Last Argonaut, coming soon from Reese Unlimited. On the screen side, he co-wrote the horror cult classic Axe to Grind and has collaborated with some of the top producers in film and television.

Where laughter meets terror, one story at a time.  Tales From the Chair!  The new comedy/horror anthology by J.P. Linde.

“Wry, weird, and uncomfortably human. Linde’s chair creaks under the weight of our collective nightmares.”

The Last Argonaut
by
J,P. Linde

When Nazi occultists awaken the vengeful spirit of Medea in their hunt for the Golden Fleece, the battle for world domination leaps from ancient tombs to wartime America. Standing in their way is The Peregrine—Atlanta’s masked avenger—and his daring wife, Evelyn. Together they’ll face dark magic, mystic assassins, and a prophecy written in blood. From the mean  streets of Atlanta to deep below Mount Olympus, The Last Argonaut hurtles through myth and history toward an explosive showdown between gods, monsters, and men—and the one hero destined to stand against them all.

"Not only is J.P. Linde's FOOL's GOLD a barn burner of a snow western adventure tale, it's also a love story. Linde clearly loves his genre, loves creating within it and loves to keep his readers on the edge of their seat."    Richard Melo (Author of Happy Talk and Jokerman 8).
And the book that started it all!

"This book is fun, funny, action-packed, heartfelt, emotional and expertly written. I cannot recommend it enough."

If you were hoping for something lighter this week, you have come to the right place.
Today, Tuesday, I had originally planned to take you on a virtual tour of my backyard, complete with visits to the recycle and yard waste cans. Unfortunately, it is currently very hot outside, and I am not going to risk exposure.
You see, I have not yet taken my salt pill for the day and am, in fact, in a very delicate condition.
No, I am not pregnant.
You'll have to guess again.
Instead, we're going to talk about my continuation of the Son of Ravage saga, Sequel of Ravage.
As you may have noticed, I've been posting various images inspired by sequences from the book, and I thought I would give you a quick update on how things are going.
So, Scott, of Scott and His Stack of Books, buckle up. I think you're going to like what you read.
First things first. This book picks up one year after Barry and his friends' first adventure. No spoilers, but we introduce a whole new villain and an entirely new way of ruling the planet. Throw in a monster, a hideous offspring, the usual assortment of gangsters, mobsters, and thugs, along with special appearances by Tilly, the one and only Tanktop, and some familiar faces from the Ravager era.
All in all, a good time should be had by all.
We're still shooting for a fall release. More details as we get closer to launch, but as of now I can't give you an exact date.
Details soon.
And now, a brief commercial message. Keeping this website alive with new features and weekly blog posts is truly a labor of love. It isn't terribly expensive, but times being what they are, it has become a growing concern. I've never asked for money outright and never will. But if you're a fan, might I suggest clicking one of the links and purchasing one of my books? It's easy to do, and the proceeds help keep this website alive and kicking.
Make sense? Of course it does. You're all very smart.

And now for some purchasing music:
