Here's the deal...

Welcome. Take your shoes off if you like — but keep your imagination laced up. Things tend to scurry, howl, or wisecrack around here.
I’m J.P. Linde: novelist, screenwriter, playwright, former comedian, and ringmaster of a growing pulp-flavored universe. I write stories with heartbeat and bite — adventures, noir shadows, comedic horror, oddball mysteries, and anything else that rattles the cabinet of curiosities I call a brain.

The Work

My worlds stretch from pulp adventure to intimate drama, always with a twist of strangeness:
  • Son of Ravage — a cult-tinged pulp adventure now expanding into a comic series.
  • Tales from the Chair — short fiction that wanders through the eerie, the heartfelt, and the absurd.
  • The Last Argonaut — myth, grit, and adventure with a modern pulse.
  • Screenplays including Paris Without Her, Tent City, Free Santa, Love on the B Side, and more.
  • And an expanding slate of short-form and vertical series built for the new frontier of storytelling.
Where I Came From

I started in the comedy trenches — writing, performing, creating — before wandering (or maybe tumbling) into pulp, noir, and genre storytelling. It turns out the line between a good joke and a good scare is thinner than most people think. My work has always lived in that elastic borderland between laughter and dread, heart and spectacle.
What I’m Doing Now
These days, I split my time between novels, screenplays, short-story collections, pitch decks, and the ever-growing J.P. Linde Pulp Universe.
Recent releases include Tales from the Chair and The Last Argonaut, with new screen projects making their way across desks in Hollywood and beyond.
Why I Write
Because strange stories have a way of telling the truth sideways.
Because humor is a pressure valve.
Because monsters, misfits, and ordinary heroes deserve their day in the sun.
And because I’ve never been able to resist a tale that tilts just slightly off-center.
If you’re drawn to worlds where danger and comedy shake hands, where hearts break and heal in unexpected ways, and where the shadows are always grinning — you’re in the right place.
Stick Around
There’s plenty more coming: books, films, series, odd artifacts, and the occasional zombie or cryptid.
Thanks for stopping by. Kick back. Explore. And if something growls… don’t worry. It’s friendly. Usually.
